On the Serious Side:

 Democracy According to Chris Christie

Governor of NJ, Chris Christie, says he will veto a bill to legalize gay marriage. Instead, certain that big money can defeat the issue, he wants to put the proposal on the ballot.
I have a suggestion for Christie: Let's put the issue of taxing the wealthy on the ballot. Let's put the issue of cutting the pentagon's budget on the ballot. Let's put the issue of no personhood for corporations on the ballot. Let's put the issue of prosecuting the criminal banksters and wall streeters on the ballot...
If the national polls are right, these proposals would win overwhelmingly throughout the country. The one percent and their minions fear true democracy.
